“There are more love songs than anything else. If songs could make you do something we’d all love one another.”
Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa is one of my favorite examples of an ENTP.
ENTP’s primary function is extraverted intuition, which perceives possibilities and connections in the external world.
Their auxiliary function is introverted thinking, which evaluates information based on logical consistency and accuracy.
ENTPs are often quick thinkers and can be very good debaters due to their inclination to be intuitively perceptive and to have strong logical reasoning skills.
Their extraverted intuition gives them an uncommon capacity to create and innovate. The combination of their primary functions often results in a personality that some would call eccentric.
“I never set out to be weird. It was always other people who called me weird.”
ENTPs can be known to say things or do that may be blunt or socially inappropriate at times, due to their introverted thinking function being their primary way of evaluating the value of a statement or action – i.e. if something is ‘true’ or accurate then that’s more important than how people feel about it.
“If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library.”
