I almost can’t believe they don’t teach this in school…seriously.
One of the most amazing things I’ve learned in my study of personality is that there are 8 different processes the brain uses, and we each have one of those 8 that we’re wired to use in such a way that it gives us the capacity for genius.
It’s wired so deep in our neurology that it’s like being right handed or left handed. It’s just the way that we’re built.
When we use that one process, it engages more of our brain than any other.
It can produce the most amazing ‘flow states’, it gives us energy and we can do it longer and more efficiently than anything else… and we can use it longer, more efficiently and better than the vast majority of musicians on the planet.
The problem is that most people have no idea that they have some kind of special ability that other people don’t have. It’s like water to a fish. We’re just swimming in it all the time. We imagine that other people have this same ability and we under-value it and we don’t develop it to it’s incredible potential.
So what I’d like to do is introduce you to the people who taught this to me. I’m not blowing sunshine when I say that they’re fantastic teachers. They’ll change the way you look at everything. Permanently.
