Madonna has sold more than 300 million records world-wide, making her the best selling female artist of all time.

The majority of women (about 2/3) are Feelers, meaning that their primary criteria for evaluating information is their feelings. Madonna is an exception. Her primary function is Introverted Thinking, which assesses information based on logical alignment. It compels her to ask, ‘is this accurate? or is does this make sense?’ in making decisions.

Introverted Thinking also tends to result in a certain boldness that holds logic and ‘truth’ in higher regard than sensitivity or politeness.

“A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want.”

“When I’m hungry, I eat. When I’m thirsty, I drink. When I feel like saying something, I say it.”

As an ISTP, she lives very much in the world of performance, experience and sensation. The auxiliary function of an ISTP is Extraverted Sensing, which gives them a tendency to live in the moment and usually results in them being talented in the physical world.

“Only when I’m dancing can I feel this free.”

I found the theory of her being an entj with a bold and brash persona very intriguing. So i googled it and found this. Then i compared to the article i had pulled up. Evil versions of the types (destructives). And felt Madonna fit with the entj destructive mode, and not the istp destructive mode. I trust your work. And i found the consideration of her being istp incredibly intriguing. I’m having trouble though with the beautiful simplicity i see in istp as being part of Madonna. She seems so incredibly ambitious. And while her body of work feels like you’re sure she’s visceral the moment you hear her being herself (not on stage, on tour, or promoting) you are bowled over by complexity, sheer ambition, intuit type rebuttals, and clear drive for dominance and to maintain others can see her high caliber intelligence. To me an istp doesn’t have to prove intelligence. An istp would see displaying knowledge for sheer recognition as frivolous would they not? Is she a narcissist istp?
